1. If you dind't update to KitKat is just perfect. Downgrade To Jellybean If Already Upgraded To Kitkat via various possible methods (Factory Reset Recommended). You'll find here Jelly Bean firmwares.
2. Make Sure You are not On Root, If Your Device is Already Rooted Make Sure You Unroot it Before Proceeding to the Next Step.
3. Go to Setting, in 'Software Update'. Check For Updates. Download The Latest Kitkat Update.
4. Now Wait For the Download To Complete Once The Download Is Completed Don't Click "Reboot And Update" Instead Let It Rest In The Notification Drawer.
5. Root Your Acer Iconia A1-810.
6. After Successfully Rooting Your Device Reboot Your Device.
7. Now Download OTA RootKeeper from Playstore.
8. Open The App Click Temp Un-Root. Reboot Device
9. From the Notification Drawer Choose "Restart And Update", wait for the update to complete.
10. Open 'Root Keeper' and click 'Restore Root'.
11. Reboot your device a last time and Booom! Your tab is running Kitkat 4.4.2 and it is rooted.
